We have the perfect remedy for you! The "New" DeWitt Community Library is hosting a Silent Book Club at the "Old Library". How does it work? Bring your own book,
First 10 minutes is sharing what you are reading, read in peace for an hour or longer. Feel free to enjoy a beverage and a meal with your book!
Meets every month at the Middletown Public Library. Members will share book recommendations with other members, chat about books they are reading, then spend time reading their current read in quiet with other readers while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea if you like.

The Parchment Community Library Silent Book Club is two book clubs in one! The Evening Silent Book Club meets on the 4th Mondays of each month at 5:30 pm. Come at 5:15 pm for optional socializing before reading begins. The Afternoon Silent Book Club meets on the 4th Wednesdays of each month at 1:30 pm. Come at 1:15 pm for optional socializing.
Bring your own book and read in companionable silence for 45 minutes. At the end, we’ll take 15 minutes to discuss what we’ve been reading. Discussion is optional – participate as much or as little as you’d like. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
We’ll meet in our local Montague library to enjoy some snacks and read to our hearts’ content! It’s a small, cute space that can comfortably hold about 15 of us readers in various areas of the library.
The library will be closed to the public at the time of our book club, so the space will be all ours!

We will read from 5:30-6:30 and then hold an optional chit chat session from 6:30-7 unless people want to keep reading or go home.
