Silent Book Club Metro Philly meets in some of the city’s best spots—cozy cafés, atmospheric breweries, independent bookshops, and scenic parks. We rotate locations throughout Metro Philadelphia, giving readers a chance to explore new places while making time for their favorite books.

Our gatherings are simple: grab a drink, settle in with your book, and enjoy the quiet company of fellow readers. Whether you’re discovering a new neighborhood café or unwinding in a local park, SBC Metro Philly is all about creating space to read, relax, and connect at your own pace. This opportunity is for those who would like a space to be with others, and not have an agenda on your socialization. Silent Book Club: Paint & Listen Edition

Escape into a world of stories! Bring your headphones and audiobook and paint something beautiful while immersing yourself in your favorite tale. Whether you're gasping in awe at a twist, tearing up during an emotional battle, or blushing at those steamy moments, this night is all about blending art and literary magic.

Before the event wraps up, we’ll share a quick review session where you can hear what others are listening to and get recommendations for your next listen. Prefer to bring a physical book? You’re more than welcome—just be careful not to get paint on those precious pages. It’s the perfect night to relax, create, and share your love of books and art! Love reading but struggle to finish the assigned reading of book clubs? Want to meet other book lovers but not sure where to begin? Or maybe you just can’t seem to get the peace to read on your own? We have the answer…join B. Leigh’s Coffee in Stewartstown, PA for Silent Book Club!

No assigned reading, just bring your current read, grab a coffee (or tea, because reading and tea are like peanut butter and jelly, right??), and find your spot to chill. Take the first half hour to get settled or meet other book lovers (if you're feeling social), then take the next hour to just read to your hearts content! The remaining half hour is yours to chat some more, or, if you just can't seem to put that book down, keep reading!

The Exeter Community Library is pleased to partner with the Exeter Township Starbucks (we have three Starbucks, please use the Starbucks with the drive-thru.) Scheduled for the first Monday of every month. Arrive at 9:30am and grab a seat and a beverage if you'd like. Bring your current book, ebook or audiobook and read in silence with fellow bookworms and introverts. No registration is required we'll see you there!

Kreutz Creek is a Public Library in the York County Library system that is offering a location for the public to meet together to read companionably. We offer refreshments, trivia, an opportunity to share book suggestions, and a fun atmosphere to enjoy reading.
