It's a book club without the assigned reading! Join fellow book lovers for an hour of silent reading and then optional socializing afterwards. B.Y.O.B (Bring your own book), or borrow one of ours. We meet on the 2nd Sunday and 2nd Wednesday of the month (except on holidays).

Silent Book Club Saint Joseph hosted by the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library is a book club without the pressure to read a specific book. Share what you're reading with other book lovers then give yourself some time to read in quiet solitude with others.

How it works:

1. Bring a book or e-reader. Whatever your reading!

2. Read in silence. There is no pressure to talk, just reading.

3. Chat with others. You're welcome to share what you're reading, recommend books, or chat about anything book related.
