DeKalb Public Library's Silent Book Club takes place on the last Wednesday of each month. Please join us in having quiet social time to read whatever you like or listen to audiobooks through your own device and headphones. Bring your own reading material or choose something from our shelves.

Please arrive a few minutes early. Quiet time begins promptly at 6:00 pm. At 7:00 pm you will have a chance to share what you were reading, if you choose. Introverts welcome.

Book lovers unite! Our Bloomington-Normal chapter offers a fun, no pressure way to join a book club and meet fellow book lover friends! We meet for two hours twice a month on a Thursday evening at Green Top Grocery in their teaching kitchen, and a Saturday afternoon with the location posted ahead of time in our Facebook group! All meetings will have a Facebook event page made!

We aim to enrich our lives by reading within a community, making new connections and friends, supporting local businesses, finingd new book recommendations, and spreading our love of books of all kinds! Everyone is welcome and we love every kind of book no matter the genre or format!

Patrons are invited to silently read from 3-5pm at Peoria Public Library's McClure Branch the first Saturday of the month. Noise-cancelling headphones and light refreshments will be provided. Patrons are encouraged to "BYOB" (bring your own book) or pick out a book at the library to read. Registration required, adults only.

The McClure Branch is in the heart of the city in Peoria's Center Bluff neighborhood and is the Peoria Public Library's smallest branch, providing a cozy atmosphere for its patrons.

The Gathering of the Bookalos is an off-site BYOBook Silent Book Club. There is no assigned reading, you just bring whatever book in whatever format you'd like and read it quietly alongside others who are doing the same thing. That's it. It's a time dedicated to quiet reading, learning about what others are reading, and hanging out with folks out in the community.
