Are you looking for a book club with no assigned reading? Some "me" time? A chance to escape the house? Join us monthly for uninterrupted reading time and the chance to chat with fellow booklovers at Silent Book Club.

With no assigned title or discussion questions, all you need to bring is your current read and your enthusiasm for literature! All reading counts! Bring a physical book, magazine, e-reader, or headphones and an audiobook. We'll chat the first 15 minutes, then read for an hour before coming back to discuss thoughts, recommendations, and anecdotes about our current reads.

Our little indie bookstore has been hosting a monthly book club at a local cidery on a Wednesday evening for 2.5 years. We have over 250 people in our FB group, but usually about 2 dozen show up. We want to offer a bookstore-based Silent Book Club where attendees can read a book of their own choice and connect with other readers.

Our bookstore is right in the center of Uptown Lexington, where Center crosses Main behind the Old Courthouse Museum. Uptown Lexington recently introduced a new "social district" where shoppers can grab a beverage from a local watering hole and walk around. We will encourage attendees to grab a coffee, wine or beer from a local establishment and join us after hours for our Silent Book Club!

We will meet from 4:00-6:00 on the first Saturday of the month.

Join us for a relaxing evening, reading with friends old and new! We will meet at the Belmont Bookshop for a pre-read beverage (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options), and then head to Stowe Park for silent companionable reading.

Because who doesn't love to read outside in nature?!

Order a glass of wine or beer from The Club at the Webb and enjoy the coffee shop vibes and the quiet atmosphere to delve deep into your novel. No conversation required with your fellow readers unless their book cover peaks your interest. This time is all about you and your book. Can’t wait to see you!

Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month starting at 7pm at Mill Hill Brewery! Come discuss your new favorite book and meet like minded people! It is true that books recommend friends sometimes! Enjoy some quiet reading time and a beverage from the taproom where local brews, wine, kombucha, soft drinks, spirits and more are available!

Cozy taproom and lots of outdoor space and comfortable furniture make your new reading book a grand possibility!
