Book Castle SF is a small independent bookshop located at 443 Cortland Ave. in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. We welcome readers to join us for Silent Book Club on the last Wednesday of the month (excluding July, November, and December).

Bring your own book, or try out a book or two from the shelves. Meet and greet 5:30-6:15pm and silent reading 6:15 - 8pm. We recommend bringing a warm beverage from one of the nice cafes nearby and since we are in a small shop, we ask that pets stay home. We have comfy chairs, classical music, and a cute fire-place heater.

It can be hard to focus on a good book when you're at home with other life distractions. Bring your own book or check one out from the library and we'll provide the snacks and refreshments.

Drop in any time between 5-7 pm for silent reading. We'll have a break from 6-6:15 pm to stretch and discuss our reads.

Welcome to South Gate’s Silent Book Club!

We get together on the third Wednesday of every month at Leland R. Weaver Library, part of LA County Library. There is no required reading or registration! Bring your reading material(s) such as a book, magazine, or eReader and enjoy some silent reading.
