Hey, Newport!

Welcome to Newport Beach Silent Book Club! We are a laid-back group looking to promote a local reading community. There is no assigned reading or discussion guide - all readers, all book genres, and all book formats (traditional, ebook, audiobook, etc) are welcome! And there's no cost involved - just bring your book and a smile.

Each event will start with some time to make introductions and get settled, an hour of reading, then about 45 minutes to take turns sharing what we are reading, our book-ish thoughts, and general socialization.

It is a great way to meet like-minded local readers, work on reading goals, and get a good recommendation for your next read.

Join our Silent Book Club at the Millbrae Library! Choose a book to read, enjoy a cup of tea, and read quietly alongside others in the library. We’ll get settled and do intros, read silently for an hour, and then share what we’re reading with others.
