Whether you're an introvert looking for a peaceful escape or someone new to the area looking to meet new friends, our group is all about creating a welcoming environment where everyone is invited. We meet at local spots around town - from cozy cafés to vibrant bars and rooftop venues - bringing our favorite reads - whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or audiobooks - and enjoying a few hours of uninterrupted reading bliss. No pressure, no assigned reading—just good company and great books.

Join the Stuart Chapter of Silent Book Club at the serene Spirit Well Sensory Lounge for a unique and mindful reading experience. Spirit Well Sensory Lounge provides a calming ambiance, perfect for fostering relaxation and mental well-being.

In this peaceful setting, you can unplug and immerse yourself in your favorite book, free from the distractions of daily life. Unlike traditional book clubs, there is no assigned reading or required discussion. Simply bring the book you're currently enjoying and spend an hour in silent, uninterrupted reading.

Whether you're an avid reader or looking to incorporate more reading into your routine, our Silent Book Club offers a tranquil escape and a chance to connect with a community of like-minded individuals.

The Lake County Silent Book Club serves the following cities: Mt. Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Leesburg, Clermont, and beyond!

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. Friends and strangers gather at a set time and location, order food or drinks, share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not, it's up to you!

We'll start the meeting with quick introductions and sharing what we’re reading.

6:00 pm - Arrive, order drinks/food, get settled and introduce yourself/what you're reading (if you're comfortable doing so)

6:30 - 7:30 PM - Quiet reading hour

7:30 - 8:00 PM - Feel free to stick around and chat, keep reading, or head home for the night.

Meetings are free to attend, but you're encouraged to support our host location by buying a drink or something to eat, if you can.
