At St. Charles County Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... It's BYOBook. Our events will be monthly, free and support local businesses. Friends and strangers gather at a predetermine location, order food or drinks, share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not! Silent Book Club is about community. Everyone is welcome, and anyone can join. Silent Book Club Saint Joseph hosted by the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library is a book club without the pressure to read a specific book. Share what you're reading with other book lovers then give yourself some time to read in quiet solitude with others.
