Drop everything and read like when we were kids! Dedicate one hour a month to reading. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early or late but know we will be silently reading from 7pm-8pm. From 8pm-8:30pm we can chat about books, shows, and films and trade recommendations.

At the SoulBird Silent Book Club, we read what we want, but silently and in community.

How does it work? We'll meet and you can share what you're reading if you like, or you don't have to. You decide! Then, we'll spend time reading in silence, enjoying other people who like to read!

C’est un club pour lecteurs pas forcément extravertis. Amenez un libre et peut-être un ami. Puisse mettez-vous à l’aise pour une heure de lecture silencieuse avec d’autres amateurs de livres. Il n’y a ni livres obligatoires ni sujets de discussions prédéfinis. C’est justement ça la partie « silencieuse ». Mais on aime partager des recommandations de livres et rencontrer d’autres lecteurs comme nous!

Silent Book Club is happy hour for introverts. Bring a book and maybe bring a friend. Then settle in for an hour of quiet reading with fellow book lovers. There's no assigned reading or discussion guides - that's the "silent" part of our book club - but we do like to share book recommendations and meet like-minded readers.

Once every two weeks we meet online:

• 19:00 - 19:30 Introductions and general discussion of who's reading what
• 19:30 - 20:30 Quiet reading hour
• 20:30 - 21:00... Optional socialising and general discussion ... or keep reading.

I will currently be using Zoom for our online meetings. But I am open to other possibilities...
