Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm at The Cleveland Bagel Cafe, 436 E. Main St in Kent.

Our new Silent Book Club brings readers together! There's no required reading--just bring a good book and read it in companionable silence while enjoying coffee or a snack.  After 45 minutes of quiet reading, you can stay and socialize, get and share some reading recommendations, or be on your way! Registration is requested, but drop ins are welcome.

The basic schedule:

2:00 - 2:15 pm: Arrival, purchase snacks, and welcome
2:15 - 3:00 pm: Quiet reading
3:00 - 4:00 pm: Optional socializing or more reading (the Cafe closes at 4:00)

Dayton Metro Library hosts Silent Book Club at the Vandalia Branch on the first Thursday of the month, 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Welcome to our monthly introvert Happy Hour! Bring a book and spread out somewhere comfy in our library! There are no assigned books to read, just book-loving people reading together and relaxing. There’s plenty of space, so all are welcome!

Tired of keeping up with reads for traditional book clubs? We have the perfect group for you.

Silent Book Club has been on the rise for several years. Members don’t have to read a specific book or worry about contributing to a larger discussion – it’s all about just quietly reading together. These unique groups have become a safe space for introverts to gather with fellow book lovers without the pressure of socializing. Our Silent Book Club will meet from 5:30-7pm and is hosted by Meghan, a Prologue bookseller who’d love to hear about your latest read. Then, we’ll meet next door at Roaming Goat and have introductions around 6pm before settling in to read.

At the end of the meeting, everyone will get a 20% off coupon you can use to pick up your read for the next meeting!
