Ever wanted to make reading quietly a more social activity? Join us for a Silent Book Club! Bring a book of your choice, and read it in companionable silence with others after a brief period of socialization. After an hour of quiet reading, feel free to socialize and discuss your read, or head on your way.

The basic schedule:
6:00-6:30pm - Arrival and greeting
6:30-7:30pm - Quiet reading hour
7:30-8:00pm - Optional socializing, or just keep reading :)

The Northern Delaware/Eastern Maryland silent book club will meet once a month at the Bear Library in Bear, DE. There will be light refreshments to enjoy and plenty of time to mingle (or not if it’s not your thing!).

On the first Sunday of each month, Kent County Public Library invites readers to relax and read silently from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Participants using the library Atrium will be asked to silence their devices, not speak and be mindful of others.
