Do you want to read more but distractions keep you from your book? Kids or spouse talking? Chores calling your name? Just need a little peace and quiet so you can focus? Join us at Silent Book Club McHenry.

There's no assigned reading and no discussion to follow. Just friendly faces who enjoy reading getting together to do just that. It's like Sustained Silent Reading from elementary school, but all grown up.

SBC - McHenry meets monthly at Shop 3430. Participants are welcome to bring their own food and drink (yes, even adult beverages) or order from a local restaurant. Eat, drink and be merry for the first 30 minutes.

Read silently for 1 hour.

Spend the last 30 minutes socializing, finishing that chapter, or shopping. Before participants trickle out we take a photo of all the books that were read during our time together.

Read, meet great people, repeat next month.
