Remember the days of Silent Reading in school--the peace and quiet of the classroom as the community of readers became immersed in their own stories...traveling far and wide as each reader's story transported them away from their seats.  If the nostalgia of these sacred reading moments is what you crave, join us for the Books Are Magic Silent Book Club!

The format is as follows: 
First 30 Minutes: Arrive, order drinks/food, share what you're reading with others, settle in
Next Hour: Quiet reading hour
Last 30 Minutes: Optional socializing or just keep reading!

Hosted by Dover Free Library, the Dover chapter of the Silent Book Club will start meeting at Sawmill Bar and Table on the Third Tuesday of every month.

The Library will provide some light snacks - more food and drinks are available to purchase.

Believe it or not, libraries are not very quiet places!

On the first Sunday of each month, Kent County Public Library invites readers to relax and read silently from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Participants using the library Atrium will be asked to silence their devices, not speak and be mindful of others.
