Take the stress out of book club with Silent Book Club! No rushing to finish, no pushing through a book you aren't loving. Just a group of readers gathering to read together in silence.

Organized through the Pomfret Public Library, Silent Book Club of Pomfret will meet monthly to read for an hour, followed by (optional) bookish chit chat.

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome it's BYOBook (or browse the Barney Library shelves!). Settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not!

Join the North Haven Memorial Library’s Silent Book Club where there is no pressure to discuss or finish an assigned book unless you want to. If you are looking for a quiet space, someone to read with, or a comfy chair, this book club is for you! Bring your own book or find one in our collection. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

Stamford is a growing city with plenty of opportunities to meet people. Join us for a monthly Silent Book Club at the Harry Bennett Branch of the Ferguson Library.

You can bring a book you are currently reading or begin a book you've always wanted to read. We will spend the final 10 minutes talking about the book you are reading, and why you chose it. You can share your thoughts or listen to what others have to say.

Reframe is a nonalcoholic bar and lounge recently opened in Willimantic, Connecticut. It is designed to be a space where people can spend time with friends and make new friends, to go out and celebrate. We aim to reframe what it means to be sober. I want to bring people into the space and I think a Silent Book Club is right in line with Reframe's mission: a chance to try socializing without alcohol, a safe space to spend time and not feel a need to drink, and a chance to be themselves. I love the idea of a space to be, to carve out time for self-care like reading, and a place to make new connections.
