Hi! Welcome to Silent Book Club Rock Hill. We are a laid back group who meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. Our love of reading brings us together, but in a very niche way.

Understanding that not everyone reads at the same pace or has the social bandwidth to handle Q&A sessions, we thought this would be the best club to accommodate anyone who needs a break from their day, work, family, for anyone who is neurodivergent, or anyone who simply wants a cocktail and a good book without interruption (yet not at home).

Our meet-ups begin at 5:30 with a bit of time to chat, order a drink, and get settled in. At 6pm we begin an hour of silent reading. That’s right: silent. It’s a way to be social without really socializing. Or as we say, Extroverted Introverts Unite! Meet new people and get book recommendations. No assigned books, No obligations, No commitments. Just come hang out with whatever YOU want to read.

Welcome to the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton chapter of Silent Book Club! We are just getting started but are currently meeting one Saturday a month at the Barnes & Noble on Hilton Head Island. This is a laid back group. No required books to read, no obligation to come to every meeting, and no required socialization. We hope that you will come to our next event!

Join us at The People's Tap for Silent Book Club! Arrive at 6:30pm to settle in, grab a beverage, find the perfect spot, and begin your literary journey. Silent reading is from 7-8pm. Option to stay after to keep reading or to socialize with fellow book lovers.

Ahh, the Silent Book Club! Now that introversion is sexy (which puts introverts and introvert-curious people in a position of reflection) I can finally offer a safe-house to people who want to buckle down for a drink or two to knock out some chapters while not feeling like they’re beholden to the small town, tight social circle scene.

If you’re who I think you are then you’ve opened up a book at a bar then felt the sinking sensation of being recognized and addressed. I will viciously, brutally keep you isolated so that you can read for a quiet and personal hour. I don’t mind clapping at an extroverted interloper like I’m a kindergarten teacher to remind them that this is *quiet* *reading* *time*. Join us!

Meetup is the first Wednesday night of every month, starting at 6PM. Bring your own book, grab a bite and beer, meet some follow readers, and have a great time. Cheers!
