The Newberry County Silent Book Club chapter will be a safe enjoyable space where book enthusiasts can come together. We encourage multiple ages to attend and all reading materials are welcome. We believe that it all counts, audiobooks, ebooks, graphic novels, and webtoons. We will rotate venues and times to accomadate everyone in the community. The Newberry County chapter will strive to host meetings in each city within our county. We believe in the power of reading and the self care of being in silence. We want to be able to create a space where you feel comfortable being quiet; where you are able to just get lost in your reading.

The York Public Library will be hosting a Silent Book Club on the last Thursday of every month. Join us for evenings of quiet camaraderie and uninterrupted reading (or listening, if you prefer audiobooks) at Silent Book Club.

Arrive at 5:30 pm to settle in, quiet time begins promptly at 5:45 pm. No registration necessary. Ages 18+ only.
