Silent Book Club PGH-Ambridge is a new chapter - Ambridge is a small town in western PA that is continuing to get new restaurants and activities.

The meeting place, Old Crow Coffeehouse, is a coffee shop that is open Monday-Saturday with mix matched furniture that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. With a mix of couches and tables, it is a great place to sit and read with delicious coffee and food. My hope is to bring more awareness to the coffee shop and bring a welcoming book club to the area!

Silent Book Club is designed to bring readers together in a space where you can read with people but don’t have to be reading the same book. We will meet at a local brewery or cafe on a monthly basis.

We will be meeting about once a month to gather with fellow book lovers to chat about what we're reading and enjoy together this hobby we all love. There's no assigned reading or discussion guide. We will alternate between local libraries and coffee shops in the lower bucks county area. Bring whatever book you're currently reading, then settle in for an hour or two of quiet reading with fellow book lovers.

Known Grove Books & More is a small town indie bookstore selling new and used books. Known Grove meets for Silent Book Club on Wednesdays at 5pm (subject to change). Fable is the lovable store cat, who may request attention from patrons. All people are encouraged to read whatever brings them joy.

Like the idea of book clubs but not really into forced book discussions, reading books you're not into, or adhering to a fixed reading schedule? Then come to the Heritage Center for our new Silent Book Club! Guests simply bring whatever book they're currently engrossed in and pull up a chair in our peaceful and spacious Boycott Room to enjoy at least an hour of quiet reading.

Each meeting will follow a time for socializing and sharing book recommendations, if desired, and silent reading. Our book club will meet on the last Friday of each month and is free to join.

Coffee, treats and comfortable silence🤫 this two hour event will include one hour to to mingle, share book recommendations and purchase refreshments followed by one blissful hour of silent reading in the company of other avid readers! We have one couch and 3 large tables available but you are welcome to bring your own comfortable seating (bean bag chairs, pillows, gravity chairs etc. are welcome!)
