Do you enjoy reading books but don't want to join a book club because you don't want the assigned reading commitment? Are you nestled between St. Louis and Lake Saint Louis? Then the Silent Book Club of St. Charles County Chapter is for you!

With our book club, you can read any book you want! All readers are welcome—ebooks or audiobooks, poetry or prose, fiction or nonfiction.. bring your own book!. Just think about those silent reading days in school, but now you live for the days when you can return to reading.

We'll meet at a local library, cafe or restaurant and you order your drinks, food, and socialize for the first thirty minutes.

We read silently for one hour.

At St. Charles County Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... It's BYOBook. Our events will be monthly, free and support local businesses. Friends and strangers gather at a predetermine location, order food or drinks, share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not! Silent Book Club is about community. Everyone is welcome, and anyone can join.
