We have the perfect remedy for you! The "New" DeWitt Community Library is hosting a Silent Book Club at the "Old Library". How does it work? Bring your own book,
First 10 minutes is sharing what you are reading, read in peace for an hour or longer. Feel free to enjoy a beverage and a meal with your book!

Calling all 'Booktroverts'...remember silent reading time as a kid? How come they don't have that for grownups?
They do! Meet us at the Nook, once a month. Share a book you just finished, one you're currently reading, or one you're about to start. Find new book buds that love the same genres. Find some book recommendations outside your usual genre.
Then, after just the perfect amount of socializing...shhh! It's time to read.

Cedar Rapids’ original Silent Book Club chapter is back! After a brief hiatus, the club will begin meeting again the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm in The Hangry Lady, the charcuterie and vegetarian restaurant located next door to the bookstore.

We will provide complimentary charcuterie, wine, and comfortable seating in a warm and inviting environment.
