Looking to find a community of fellow readers, but intimidated by traditional book clubs? Put down your phone, pick up a book, and spend quality time with fellow book lovers – no homework or chit chat required!

Bring the book (and hot beverage) of your choice to the library for a quiet hour of reading in peace. (You can also choose a book from the library shelves!) We’ll have cozy blankets and comfortable seating for all attendees. Colored lanyards will be available for participants to wear, to help indicate who is down for some book chit chat and who is not. (Red lanyards = Please let me read in silence; Green lanyards = Let’s talk a little bit about what we’re reading.)

Known as the introvert’s happy hour, NMPL’s Silent Book Club is the perfect place to retreat with your book for a designated hour of reading. This is the perfect activity for those whose social battery is low, but who still want company. Readers and introverts unite!

We welcome book lovers from South Central Indiana to join us every 2nd Monday of the month for Silent Book Club! We gather at Swine & Dine, a casual event space at 412 Washington Street in Downtown Columbus.

Beverages and specialty nibbles are available; pre-orders for food are recommended and appreciated. Doors open at 5pm, an hour of silent reading starts around 6pm, and Viewpoint Books offers post-book club, after-hours shopping for all Silent Book Club attendees.

Welcome to the Titans Read Silent Book Club where all you need is a book to read. This Silent Book Club has no assigned reading! Any book, any format, any chapter. No discussions! Just show up with a book to read and spend quality time with fellow readers. It's a great way to practice self-care, meet new people, and find great book recommendations.

The first half hour is for socializing with optional sharing of what you're reading followed by an hour of companionable silent reading. The Titans Read Silent Book Club meets monthly in the IU South Bend Schurz Library’s third floor lounge, from 3-5:00 pm. Complimentary refreshments are available.

The Fables and Fairy Tales Silent Book Club offers bookworms a space to silently read and chat about books. Bring what you're currently reading –there’s no book assignment!

We meet monthly at various venues and days of the week throughout downtown Martinsville. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. Learn more on our website.

There's no assigned reading. Reviews are optional. Company and conversation are both optional.

SBC is about treating yourself. Reading in companionable silence with a friend. Interlacing gossip with recommended authors. And never worrying if you haven't finished the book.

Silent Book Club meets at 9:30 am at Fables Book on the 1st Saturday of the month. Bring a book. Coffee is provided. We'll gather for about 30 minutes to introduce each other and (if you choose) to tell everyone what you're currently reading.
