Welcome to the Maidenhead Silent Book Club!

Come join us for a relaxing evening of reading in Maidenhead.

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. This is a free event, where friends or strangers gather at a set time and location, order food or drinks, share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading to yourselves. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not!

There is absolutely no pressure to talk to anyone or socialise in any way. Just bring yourself and your book, and take time out from scrolling on your phone and unwind in the company of like-minded individuals It's the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

So mark your calendars and make some time for yourself at the Maidenhead Silent Book Club. We can't wait to see you there!

You'll want to be in The Dog House once a month because at these special times this 'creative space for curious minds' becomes a haven for people like you who like to read but would like to be in the company of fellow humans also stuck into a good read.

This will be the first experience of this kind in the town. Just minutes from Reading Station and in a beautifully renovated Edwardian Grade II Listed building, The Dog House will be the perfect place for people to come together to be quiet, then chat after (if they wish).
