The Kenosha chapter of Silent Book Club is hosted by Blue House Books, Kenosha's independent bookstore located in our downtown district just blocks from the shores of Lake Michigan! We currently host meetings at The Buzz Cafe, just a couple blocks away from our store, the first Tuesday of every month.

We are a group for folks who want the consistency of a monthly book club without the constraints of reading a specific book, and for those who crave a social setting for an otherwise solitary activity. We hope to see you soon!

Welcome to The Silent Book Club of Oz! (SBCO) The goal of this “silent book club” is to create a community space within Ozaukee County, WI, where there is no assigned book you may not personally enjoy, to be able to just show up, spend time with friends or make new book-ish friends, and most importantly, to simply read your book/e-reader/audiobook with no pressure, sharing only if you want to!

We aim to meet once a month for an hour of silent reading at a local restaurant/bar/coffee shop/park etc. Book club meetings are free to attend, but buying something from each month's establishment is highly encouraged. It is a great way to try new places to eat and drink with other readers in the community! This book club is geared for adults, providing a designated time away from the house simply to read. Bring a book to exchange or find your next read in the ever-changing SBCO Little Free Library at each meeting!

This group is a laid back and relaxed place to meet people with the same love of reading. An introvert’s dream, if you will. Our hope is to create a supportive, curious, and wonderful group of people to read with and get to know in a warm, open, and inclusive environment. All ages, genders, sexualities, cultures, races, etc. are welcome and encouraged.

We're a small local coffee shop located in historic Downtown Rhinelander with a strong desire to sit in silence! just kidding- but we DO love caffeine, friends, and reading.

Our coffee shop opened in April of 2023, inside a 100 year old building in historic Downtown Rhinelander, sharing space with Northland Music Center. While the music store is often full of music and chatting and social atmosphere, we set aside the occasional Sunday afternoon for utter SILENCE to read among friends!

Silent Book Club Madison, WI meets one time a month, at various locations, TBD. We meet for an hour of silent reading and, for those that wish, we will have a meet/greet afterwards where books can be discussed and/or exchanged.
