Come ready to mingle and read with like-minded readers in a beautiful serene environment. 

The space is created for readers to enjoy doing what they love doing: read books! You may bring your own book (BYOB), a Kindle or a tablet to join in the fun. We spend one quiet hour bring engrossed in your favourite read.

The one-hour session caters for reading in addition to a mix and mingle afterward.

The Bloemfontein Silent Book Club is the only club in the Free State in South Africa where 'socialising' means not having to say a single word. Bring a book, grab a seat, and let us collectively embrace the beauty of awkwardly ignoring each other. It's like a book club, but with less talking and more reading. Join us and experience the joy of quiet camaraderie—no book shaming, no spoilers, just you, your book, and a room full of people silently loving it!

Escape the noise of the Golden City at Jozi Silent Book Club. We have no assigned readings and no deadlines, just bring your own reading material and enjoy an hour of uninterrupted reading time. We can’t promise the Hadedas won’t interrupt though..
