We will meet the second Monday of each month starting at 6pm and ending at 7:30pm. We will have our initial 30 minute meet-up under the pavilion to chat about what we are reading, then the next hour is yours to silently read and relax. Please bring a chair or blanket if you would like to sit under one of the many trees in the park. And if you are so inclined, a picnic basket would do just fine as well.

For parents, you are welcome as there is a playground nearby that provides an opportunity for your kids to play while you read and relax.

Love to read? The Albany, Oregon Silent Book Group is a unique book group with no assigned reading or required book discussions. It is simply a relaxing, companionable way to share space with like-minded book lovers!

We meet at Beloved Cheesecakes, 124 Broadalbin Street SW, Albany, OR on the last Tuesday of each month from 4-6pm. The monthly event is free; however, we just ask that you support the business by buying a drink and/or menu item.

Just BYOBook, ebook, audiobook (and headphones), textbook, comic book, newspaper, fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, etc. and settle in for an hour of peaceful silent reading! At the end of the hour, attendees socialize and share what they’re reading – or not! For you introverts out there, socializing is NOT required! This is a silent book club and all readers are welcome! So, bring a friend or come solo!
