The Charlotte Silent Bookclub is run by Alyssa Pressler, the owner of That's Novel Books, a used bookstore located in Camp North End in Charlotte, NC.

We meet monthly at Camp North End, grab drinks and food, chat and share what books we're reading, and then get to it. Learn more here.

No book requirements at all: bring whatever you're reading right now and enjoy some quiet, dedicated time with your book.

Often with traditional book clubs there's pressure to finish an assigned book and spend a great deal of time chatting with others. Wouldn't it be great to have a book club where you could just enjoy books and optionally make some new friends—without any homework? We welcome you to the Silent Book Club Charlotte.

It goes like this: we'll gather round to share what we're reading, meet some other introverted bookish types, grab a beverage, and then find a comfy spot to read in companionable silence for an hour or so.
