Welcome to the Silent Book Chapter of Garden City, New York. We are centrally located in Long Island, Nassau County. We are excited to read with you and create new friendships. We will have monthly meetings, most likely on 7th street or somewhere nearby.

We are a Silent Book Club that is located in Wantagh, New York. We have meetings every month. They will be in a location no more than 15 minutes away from the center of town.
We will meet for approximately 90 minutes with one hour of full dedicated reading time. After that it’s up to you to mingle or close the chapter!
We hope to have outdoor meetings at lovely park and beach spaces as the weather gets warmer.

Held on the first Thursdays of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, immerse yourself in an evening of peaceful reading and companionship. Indulge in complimentary snacks and drinks or bring a treat to share, as we gather on the library's lower level. Engage in light conversation about recent reads during the first 30 minutes, then relish an uninterrupted hour of quiet reading. Open to adults and teens ages 16+, discover the joy of silent immersion in the world of books with us.

The Shelter Island Library is happy to host a Silent Book Club. We meet monthly at 5pm on a Thursday evening at the Rams Head Inn. No need to have a library card, all are welcome! Sit and read in the comfortable chairs provided by the Rams Head. We start the evening at 5pm with a welcome and then read companionably for an hour. If you need refreshments, they may be ordered from the bar but no purchase is necessary. At the end of the hour, stay to chat or head home to continue your book!

We hope readers from the general West Babylon/Babylon/Lindenhurst area will be encouraged to join our monthly gatherings to read and socialize (as much or as little as they'd like).
