SBC Bryn Mawr provides book lovers who live in or near the Bryn Mawr neighborhood of Minneapolis with a chance to build community with existing, new and future friends. The club's purpose aligns with the mission of Big Hill Books, Bryn Mawr's neighborhood bookstore, where SBC Bryn Mawr meets every Tuesday over the lunch hour.

Our Silent Book Club was created to provide a safe space for individuals to be around others without the pressure to read a specific book or answer questions. Bring your own book, have a seat, and read quietly. Seating will be in the coffee bar on the main level, and outdoor seating in the back garden will be available if weather permits.

Reading together in silent solidarity! This is a book club that lets you read whatever you want, and with no assigned reading, socializing is optional.

How it works: Meet up on Tuesdays!
Stop in at Mezza9 Cafe, grab a drink and a snack, and immerse yourself in a quiet hour of reading. Feel free to mingle and meet new people if you're up for it, but it's completely up to you!

Sample schedule:
6:00-6:30 - Arrive, order refreshments, optionally share your current read
6:30-7:30 - Quiet reading time
7:30-8:00 - Optional socializing or continue with your reading

The Silent Book Club hosted by Lykke Books at Ulm Sweet Ulm is intended to be a fellowship offering for fellow book-lovers in our cozy, inclusive community hub located in downtown New Ulm. The group meets monthly and includes formal and informal opportunities to connect with other bookish people. The space features a community center, a grab-and-go cafe, community gathering spaces including a rentable multi-purpose gym, and an indoor artisan market.

7:30-8:00pm: Mingle with fellow book lovers, keep reading, or head home to recharge.

Bring whatever book you're reading! This is a no-pressure book club; it's your own personal reading time, in the company of others who love books. If you'd like to hang out and discuss books or anything else, great! If you'd like to go straight home and not talk to anyone, great!
