Then the Maynard Public Library Silent Book Club is for you! We welcome all readers to join us in some quiet time with snacks. Book sharing and discussion is completely optional.

The Lawrence Public Library is proud to host monthly Silent Book Club meetings. Please come and enjoy the comradery of silence. Once the timer starts you are welcome to read for the hour (or listen with headphones) to anything you like. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks (with headphones), magazines, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook.

Welcome to our local chapter of Silent Book Club, where there are no assigned readings, no pressure to finish a book on time, and BYOB (Bring Your Own Book). It’s The Introvert’s Happy Hour!

This group is for those who just want to relax and read along with other bookish people. While silence is the main game during the allotted hour, for those so inclined, there will be optional time to share what you are reading, and discuss literary things or just to get to know one another.

With Silent Book Club, there is no pressure because there is no assigned book. Just show up with whatever book you’re currently reading, choose a comfy spot and settle in for an hour of silent reading among like-minded people. Afterward, connect with fellow book lovers and enjoy some casual conversation about books!

Light snacks and refreshments are provided but feel free to bring your own. We are a dog friendly space. Friendly pups are welcome!

Join fellow bibliophiles and literature junkies every third Sunday at Hot Plate Brewing, Co. from 1:00-3:00 PM. Hot Plate Brewing is located at 1 School Street, Pittsfield, MA (right next to the Police Station). Beer, wine, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase, and patrons are encouraged to bring their own food and snacks!

Have you ever wanted to join a book club without actually having to read a specific book or, you know, talk to people?  Silent Book Club may be for you.  GPL is starting a monthly program, where you can come, socialize (or not) for 45 minutes in our Maker Space, then go anywhere you want in the library and simply read.  You can read in groups, in couples, or gloriously alone.  It is totally up to you.

What kind of books can you read?  Whatever kind you want.  There's no judgment here, just reading. We'll see you here!
