Remember Drop Everything And Read (DEAR time!) from your school days? That cozy feeling is exactly what Silent Book Club Snellville creates at each event! Led by two teachers, we gather at local spots in Snellville and the surrounding area to grab snacks, have a glorious hour of silent reading time, and have informal book chat time with fellow book lovers!

Silent Book Club Cumming was formed to bring the joy of reading with friends to Cumming, GA. We meet twice a month for 2 hours per meeting. What is a Silent Book Club? Well, it's a chance to meet up with like-minded bookworms in a casual atmosphere, enjoy a beverage, and socialize at your comfort level. Bring your own book--whatever you want!--because we don't have a chosen book that we read together. We meet and greet, then settle in for an hour of silent, individual reading. After the hour is up, we gather in a circle and introduce ourselves and our books, followed by optional socializing for the rest of the meeting.

We would love for you to join us! In order to support the venues that host us, we ask that you purchase at least 1 item during the meeting. We need to be considerate of other customers and our host locations. Lastly, please be considerate of your fellow silent readers by limiting noise and talking during the reading hour. But mostly, ENJOY the reading!

Enjoy the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature while enjoying silent reading time. Bring your lunch to enjoy on Elachee Nature Science Center’s beautiful patio and then stay afterwards to meet fellow nature lovers.

Adirondack chairs are available, but participants are welcome to bring their own camping chairs or even hammocks!

Schedule:
12:30-1:00 - Find a spot and eat your brown bag lunch. A drink machine is available.
1:00-2:00 - Silent Reading under the trees.
2:00-2:30 - Enjoy the patio while meeting new friends.

Come join us for reading and relaxation with the Silent Book Club in Dallas/Hiram, Georgia. We are a growing community of book lovers who enjoy getting together to share our love of books. The best thing about our book club is that there are no assigned readings, no mandatory discussions, and no judgement! Just bring whatever book you want to read and relax!

We welcome all introverts, so you are not forced to socialize. However, if you happen to feel chatty, we welcome you too!

We are a rural library where friends and patrons gather to read silently and, if desired, discuss their books, while enjoying a bite to eat! We have about an hour (or more) set aside for readers to enjoy some distraction-free reading time! Afterwards, readers can discuss their current book, or not, without any pressure of deadlines or quotas. Overall, it's just a great time to get together with time specifically set aside to get caught up on your favorite book and savor a snack!
Milner Community Library is a rural, non-profit library located in Milner, GA (just outside of Barnesville). We are heavily involved in community activities and offer more than just books!
