We will be meeting at different venues each month to share the love with our many local restaurants! Most meetings will be in the afternoon and we will keep it open forum for the first half hour or so then an hour of reading!
We will also be doing periodic book exchanges to keep your library fresh!

Are you looking for a way to read books in your TBR pile? Are you wanting somewhere comfy and relaxed to read and share books with like minded people?

Come join us for Silent Book Club! We will meet every third thursday of the month at 6:00pm! Bring your book, a drink or snack, and anything else you might need to have a comfy night of reading!

Start arriving at 6pm, maybe grab a drink or snack from a local business and chat with the other members. At 6:30, we will begin to read along with your fellow book lovers for an hour of peace and quiet. At the end of the hour you can socialize some more or keep reading!

Our group follows the same structure all the others do. The St Clair Shores library decided to host us every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm. We will have 30 min of socialization followed by 1 hour of reading. All are welcome and we will be meeting in the Reading Lounge. Readers will have an opportunity to check out a book or purchase one from the store as well.

Bring Your Own Book (BYOB) and join us at the library as we chat about books for 30 minutes then spend an hour doing some silent reading! A great opportunity to get some book recommendations and meet some fellow readers! Please limit beverages to bottled water.

Wish you had more time to read? Looking for some book lovers to hang out with? Bring whatever book you are currently reading and join us in the Suzy Forlie Room to get cozy. Come on the third Tuesday of the month to meet new people and leave with new book recommendations! For Adults and Teens 16+

Typical Schedule:
5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Get your drinks and snacks, grab a seat, socialize with other readers (or not), and share what you're reading.
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Silent Reading Hour
7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. | Optional socializing (or keep reading!)

Come join us each month in the taproom of BS Brew Works! Grab a beer, a glass of wine, a Coke or just a glass of water, and bring whatever you are currently reading. We'll take a minute to share what everyone is reading, and then we just.... read. It's an introvert's dream - social interaction without being too peopley.

Welcome to the Silent Book Chapter of Garden City, New York. We are centrally located in Long Island, Nassau County. We are excited to read with you and create new friendships. We will have monthly meetings, most likely on 7th street or somewhere nearby.
