Looking to find a quiet space to connect with fellow book lovers? The PG County Silent Book Club in Maryland might be what you’re looking for. This meetup offers the perfect opportunity to share your passion for reading in a welcoming and inspiring environment.

There are no assigned readings for this event; simply bring along your current book and enjoy an hour of silent reading with others.

The event begins with 30 minutes of time to order drinks/food, allow people to arrive, share what they're reading, and settle in.

Following this, you'll have an hour dedicated to silent reading. Finally, the last half hour is flexible—continue reading, socialize with other attendees, book swap, or ordering more food/drinks.

The Howard County Chapter of Silent Book Club will host meetings and events that create a true safe space for readers to indulge in and enjoy our chosen hobby, as well as other healthy and fun activities. Of course, our unique book club does not require any assigned reading or guided discussions; you bring your own reading material (whatever that may be and in digital or physical format) to immerse yourself in for an hour. Reading isn't all we do and there will be time for socializing and mingling before and after each meeting/event.

Welcome to Damascus Page Turners, a sanctuary for book lovers in Damascus, Maryland. Our Silent Book Club chapter offers a unique experience where book lovers can escape the noise of daily life and immerse themselves in literature. We gather in a welcoming space; each member bringing their own book, allowing for a personalized reading journey amidst a community of like-minded individuals. We read silently for 1.5 hours and reserve the last .5 hours for networking, book swaps, and giveaways.
