The Silent Book Club's purpose is simple! Read in comfortable silence, among friendly people with similar bookish tendencies; no need to keep a conversation flowing.

The first 30 minutes are for quiet chatting, getting to know each other - after which you can read in comfortable peace and quiet, sipping on a cool beer, glass of wine, soft drink or cuppa.

We are the Brighton chapter of the Silent Book Club. Our function is simple; to gather together to silently read. There are no expectations or pressure, our group is a welcoming space and there for that bit of escapism we all need in the hustle and bustle of the city.

We work on a Bring Your Own Book basis. Refreshments and food are self-funded.
