Gifts for Dad

Silent Book Club is 100% volunteer-run. We may earn a small commission from links below to help us keep the lights on. Don't worry, it won't cost you a penny. Thanks for supporting SBC!

Many of us got a love of reading from our dads. And parents can be some of the toughest family members to shop for.

For those of you with bookworm fathers out there, we wanted to share some of our favorite gifts to offer for Father's Day, coming up in the US on June 21st.

For the art lover:

Everything She Touched recounts the incredible life of American sculptor Ruth Asawa (1926–2013). This new book by journalist and author Marilyn Chase is the first biography of this major American artist.

For the homebody:

This comfortable zip-up hoodie is perfect for an early morning read with a cup of coffee or a quiet evening on the couch with a book. Choose from a range of colors with the SBC monogram embroidered on your chest.

For the history buff:

Considered one of the greatest war novels of all time, Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front describes the horror and sacrifice of those on the front lines of World War I.

For the coffee fanatic:

All Readers Welcome Travel Mug

The insulated Silent Book Club mug keeps coffee or tea nice and toasty while you get lost in a book, or are in charge of teaching math and science to distracted children.

For the feminist:

Four of Maya Angelou's most beloved poems are included in this collection, including the incredible Phenomenal Woman. Listen to her recitation here

For the Aesthete

Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast is the book to read while pining for Paris. Exploring a city, a community, and a moment in time, plan future travel inspired by Hemingway's stay.

There's plenty of time to order any (or all) of the above, building out dad's bookshelf for Father's Day!
