A book club for introverts and others who like to read on their own terms.
Wanting to make a date with yourself to read? The Silent Book Club may be perfect for you!. Treat yourself once a month to a night of reading in the Riverside Room at the Beloit Public Library. It's a great way to practice self-care, meet new people, and get some great book recommendations. The book is not assigned; just bring the one you are currently reading and join in!
5:00-5:30pm - People arrive, order drinks/food from the Blender Cafe or bring your own, meet in the Riverside Room, share what you're reading (not obligatory)
5:30-6:30pm - Quiet reading hour
6:30-7:00pm - Optional socializing, or just keep reading
Silent Book Club is created with the idea that reading among others can be awesome. Whether you prefer fiction or non-fiction, we would enjoy your company. Borrow a book from the Beloit Public Library, download a book from Hoopla or Libby, or bring your own book to the Beloit Public Library Riverside Room, and start reading with everyone else!
